Hometown Coffee House at 215 West College Ave is hosting an art show to benefit the Boxer Aid and Rescue Coalition.
Art work will be on display at Hometown Coffee House through the end of August and 30% of all sales will benefit BOXER AID & RESCUE COALITION(B.A.R.C.is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization). The mission of B.A.R.C. is to aid and rescue homeless boxers throughout the north Florida and south Georgia region by obtaining for them appropriate medical care; providing a behavioral assessment during their rehabilitation, and placing them into permanent pre-screened homes with adopters who will treat them as a member of the family; as well as; to educate the public about issues related to boxers as companion animals.

A little hung over from yesterday’s trip to the vet and I feel the need to wake up and dress up. I can only get inspiration from my closet – fashion will cheer me up, I know it. Past season’s trends to choose from:

I’m recouping from a horrendous day at the vet. Yes, that’s right the vet. He’s a villain in my real life story. Once a year I’m tricked into thinking it’s another ride to the park. I end up in a room with cold floors, other scared dogs, cats (my gosh), all waiting to have needles and fingers stuck where they don’t belong. I’m tough though, not a whimper or peep out of me – they can’t break this tough cookie. Then to top off the visit drugs start to kick in … and here I lay, woozy and cursing the day I see the vet again …
